What was the highlight of Amora Beach Resort Phuket

Great staff but loud place to stay.

Staff were nice and tried their best to meet our needs. Manager Tuang was great help and made our stay much more pleasant. AC in the rooms were very quiet compare to any other places in Phuket.

Buffet dinner had limited option and very bad taste. During peak season, it can be very loud and crowded. Grand pool rooms were super loud from the street noise. Beach was nice but loud music comes from the beach club, which makes it very hard for family stay.

The staff was very nice and the resort was beautiful. The best pools I've ever seen!

They seemed confused on what an all inclusive was. Breakfast was a buffet, lunch and dinner were at the restaurant and had the same menu every day, that got old fast. Only bar was at the restaurant, pool bar was a worker with a cooler of water and beer no tables. No entertainment offered in evenings. The beach bar is not included in the package. Booking says pool access room, but these don't exist. For them pool access means first floor, and take your room key if your hanging out because if you leave the sliding door unlocked housekeeping will lock you out of your room.

Reasonable.

Modern, new property, right on the beach. Good swimming pool facilities for family and adults. The Nora beach club is very good for dinner and during the day, especially Sunday brunch with a good acoustic set.

Shuttle bus is limited to 2 x per day. Other properties have such facilities hourly. ONE TREADMILL is a joke for 200+ rooms. The other treadmill was out of service for at least a few weeks. It is easy to think that there are 4 treadmills from the picture given the adjacent mirror. When we stayed, only one! Breakfast was ok but on one day there fish balls in the green curry - no meat. Seemed at be cutting corners in terms of cost savings.

Peaceful and serene

The atmosphere is one of the highlights of the experience. The crowd size is just right—not too packed—which makes it comfortable. The surrounding area is peaceful and serene, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance.

The selection of halal food is quite limited. While there are options like pancakes and fruits, only one halal item, a chicken bologna platter, is available. Unfortunately, this platter is placed next to pork cutlets, and the same cutlery is used for both, which is not appropriate for those adhering to halal dietary practices. Greater attention to proper handling and separation of halal and non-halal food is needed to ensure inclusivity and respect for all dietary needs

Noisy beach club neighbor. But they tuned down loudness after we complained. Very bad traffic jams getting in & out of the area

Wonderful

Location, pools, breakfast was wonderful. Room big enough. Kids club was awsome, my son really enjoyed, especially the supervisors were really nice to him.

Minor things: Curtains are not blackout $200 for deposit Baby cot is outdated Not enough shelves/storage is room A bit pricey for value, not a real 5* hotel

Lovely beach resort, friendly staff and with a wide variety of facilities, total relaxation.

The efficient reply to my requests, the warm welcome when we arrived and the friendly porters to show us our room, the refreshing cloth and mouth-watering coconut drink on arrival, the room beyond our expectations, the facilities ito the gigantic pool, the access to the private beach, the pool and beach loungers, the morning activities, the gym, the table tennis board, the finer details that made us feel at home. The friendly staff that assisted us was Ying, Deen, Lee, Abror, Tata, Amm, Sue & M, the went out of their way to make all hotel patrons feel welcome and not only my family.

Breakfast was limited ito Halaal options, I would not recommend Amora to my Halaal friends and family. As Amora is in the Bang Tao area which is predominantly Muslim, I would seek alternative Halaal options the next time.

A great location and comfortable stay

- great location, right out onto the beach, close to the airport which was convenient for my early morning flight. Plenty of food and drink options a short walk away - fantastic breakfast selection - recently refurbished, the room was comfortable and bathroom very nice - friendly, helpful staff - the beach club is a nice addition to be able to use, however, expensive. Bang Tao is the first place in my travel around Phuket where I experienced service charges. - the chat to the team option on WhatsApp was also useful I was initially worried, having booked and then checked reviews again to see that it had dropped in ratings, I was pleased that my experience was not negative. However, I don’t think that it can be truly classed as 5* - having stayed in a variety of ‘3-5*’ hotels in Phuket and surrounding islands, I am not sure this is quite there.

- mini bar wasn’t stocked, would have been a nice addition. There is a shop opposite the hotel so was able to stock up as I required, however, other 5* places I have stayed have offered mini bar and complementary refreshments etc. - the holding deposit of $200 seemed a bit steep, again comparing to others I have stayed in.

Breakfast have some room for improvement. Juice is not juice, its lemonade. On a five star hotell juice should be fresh sqeezed. There are great machines for that that the guests can use themselves. Or at least buy real juice. All the guests was talking about how bad the apple and orange juice was. Sweet and not juice, its just lemonade. Coffe machine is way to slow. Takes forever to make coffe and guests have to wait in line for a long time. Its also different settings on the different machines so a cappuccino is totaly different depending on witch machine you use. The bread seems to be fresh baked but all of them are dry? Why? Is there a problem with the flour in Thailand or is it something else? Yeast mabey? Nutella! Get a much bigger bottle/box for Nutella. You ran out of Nutella several times during the breakfast time. There are big pumps for Nutella in hotells. Really easy to use also.

Wonderful

We had an great stay at this property, from the room, to the staff, to the location. It was lovely being directly on the beach with access to beach chairs and umbrellas. Bang Tao beach in general was an ideal location for our holiday - enough to do, but not too crowded. Our room was spacious and staff helpful.

The first room we were given had a terrible stink to it. It was disgusting and we refused to stay in it. The staff upgraded us which was appreciated.

Nice, relaxing, quiet place to stay. Location perfect, beautiful beach.

Hotel was very clean, lots of space and very quiet. Despite the size there didn’t seem to be many people about. Went in peak season so the cost was a bit higher than normal. Not many westerners.

Lacked vibe/ atmosphere and not many activities on offer. But if you are after a quiet relaxing holiday then that could be a good thing.

kids club and pool slides were great

lots of classical Russian tourists. they are drinking vodka in the pool and listening to the music on speakers. Those of them who don’t drink vodka in the pool, come and leave their towels on the sun beds at 7 am. Somehow staff do not bother to control or disturb any of these crazy Russian traditions of annoying guests.

Not the worst place to stay in Thai probably, but not the best for sure. For this price you’ll get good hotel location w

Good location, close to Porto de Phuket, bars, blue tree. You’ll have almost everything near by.

Personnel wasn’t welcoming, some restraint workers were even aggressive in some situations. Cleaning service is awful, changing towels is all they do. Poor English language skills for most personnel.

Overall my stay was excellent the staff at Amora were always friendly and helpful . Sue, Kate, Lee and manager.

The property was always clean

In our room every time we had a shower the water took a long time to drain which also made the floor wet in the bathroom.
