Very Good

kids club and pool slides were great

lots of classical Russian tourists. they are drinking vodka in the pool and listening to the music on speakers. Those of them who don’t drink vodka in the pool, come and leave their towels on the sun beds at 7 am. Somehow staff do not bother to control or disturb any of these crazy Russian traditions of annoying guests.

The staff was very nice and the resort was beautiful. The best pools I've ever seen!

They seemed confused on what an all inclusive was. Breakfast was a buffet, lunch and dinner were at the restaurant and had the same menu every day, that got old fast. Only bar was at the restaurant, pool bar was a worker with a cooler of water and beer no tables. No entertainment offered in evenings. The beach bar is not included in the package. Booking says pool access room, but these don't exist. For them pool access means first floor, and take your room key if your hanging out because if you leave the sliding door unlocked housekeeping will lock you out of your room.

Noisy beach club neighbor. But they tuned down loudness after we complained. Very bad traffic jams getting in & out of the area

Wonderful

Location, pools, breakfast was wonderful. Room big enough. Kids club was awsome, my son really enjoyed, especially the supervisors were really nice to him.

Minor things: Curtains are not blackout $200 for deposit Baby cot is outdated Not enough shelves/storage is room A bit pricey for value, not a real 5* hotel

Location, staff, AC,

Breakfast have some room for improvement. Juice is not juice, its lemonade. On a five star hotell juice should be fresh sqeezed. There are great machines for that that the guests can use themselves. Or at least buy real juice. All the guests was talking about how bad the apple and orange juice was. Sweet and not juice, its just lemonade. Coffe machine is way to slow. Takes forever to make coffe and guests have to wait in line for a long time. Its also different settings on the different machines so a cappuccino is totaly different depending on witch machine you use. The bread seems to be fresh baked but all of them are dry? Why? Is there a problem with the flour in Thailand or is it something else? Yeast mabey? Nutella! Get a much bigger bottle/box for Nutella. You ran out of Nutella several times during the breakfast time. There are big pumps for Nutella in hotells. Really easy to use also.

A great location and comfortable stay

- great location, right out onto the beach, close to the airport which was convenient for my early morning flight. Plenty of food and drink options a short walk away - fantastic breakfast selection - recently refurbished, the room was comfortable and bathroom very nice - friendly, helpful staff - the beach club is a nice addition to be able to use, however, expensive. Bang Tao is the first place in my travel around Phuket where I experienced service charges. - the chat to the team option on WhatsApp was also useful I was initially worried, having booked and then checked reviews again to see that it had dropped in ratings, I was pleased that my experience was not negative. However, I don’t think that it can be truly classed as 5* - having stayed in a variety of ‘3-5*’ hotels in Phuket and surrounding islands, I am not sure this is quite there.

- mini bar wasn’t stocked, would have been a nice addition. There is a shop opposite the hotel so was able to stock up as I required, however, other 5* places I have stayed have offered mini bar and complementary refreshments etc. - the holding deposit of $200 seemed a bit steep, again comparing to others I have stayed in.

Wonderful

We had an great stay at this property, from the room, to the staff, to the location. It was lovely being directly on the beach with access to beach chairs and umbrellas. Bang Tao beach in general was an ideal location for our holiday - enough to do, but not too crowded. Our room was spacious and staff helpful.

Overall my stay was excellent the staff at Amora were always friendly and helpful . Sue, Kate, Lee and manager.

The property was always clean

In our room every time we had a shower the water took a long time to drain which also made the floor wet in the bathroom.

Not the worst place to stay in Thai probably, but not the best for sure. For this price you’ll get good hotel location w

Good location, close to Porto de Phuket, bars, blue tree. You’ll have almost everything near by.

Personnel wasn’t welcoming, some restraint workers were even aggressive in some situations. Cleaning service is awful, changing towels is all they do. Poor English language skills for most personnel.

Hotel is having major reconstruction, lacks atmosphere. no facilities

the location of the hotel, is in the nice end of the beach - really quick to get to from the airport. The new rooms that we had, are nice inside - everything is new - but its not exactly luxury. Its a large space, with a patio that overlooks the pool. but its very biege.

the hotel is under massive re-construction. i was aware of this when i booked, but we are talking all facilities, apart from the new rooms and the pool area are affected. There is noise during the day, and the atmosphere of the place is vacant - there are no staff or a bar to give you any service to compensate. However, the location is great - the hotels and restaurants nearby are busy, well equipped and we enjoyed going to Catch and the the restaurant opposite. Compared to the other hotels around it - its really lacking, and also, very Russian... so at breakfast, there was no atmosphere. we paid to have breakfast next door - it was lively, and more international, with plenty of staff and a better offer.

Affordable resort with good location however there's construction on going

Amora has a Family Mart right across and is walking distance to a couple of restaurants so location is a plus. Technically you could say it's beach front but the property is huge and it's a walk to even get to the beach area. The rooms are spacious with a small balcony to hangout in. Most of the staff were kind and attentive.

There are major expansion construction on going at the property right now, something they don't tell you when you book. The construction starts around 9am so by that time you'll need to get out of the property to avoid the noise. The rooms are also dated and in need of a refresh, the shower has very low water pressure

staff were great and I would stay here again but possibly once all the construction is complete.

big, clean rooms. pool is nice and the beach is great (just a short stroll from the room). the staff were very helpful. we had an evening flight but the hotel looked after our bags so we could use the facilities, plus they gave us a room to shower in before we departed.

there was a lot of construction going on around the hotel (additional pool and general building work) as well as outside of the hotel. noise wasn’t so much the issue, but aesthetically not great.

We were given a refurbished room which was very comfortable, paid for sea view and had room on ground floor with access to the pool and sun loungers on the patio, deffo worth asking for!

Breakfast not great, and there is ongoing construction work but this was not noisy or intrusive
